Assumptions
- The feature team identified has the necessary skills to meet the definition of done for the product backlog items.
- Product Owners identified have the knowledge and are empowered to make decisions concerning prioritisation of features and functionality.
- The framework will be continually improved based on iterative learnings from the implementation.
- All stakeholders involved in the framework are continually informed about the rationale behind strategic investments and priorities to ensure that everyone involved is able to make the right decisions to achieve targeted benefits.
Dependencies
- Feature teams (Product Owner, Team Lead, Business Analyst, Developer, Tester, etc.) need to be co-located to ensure collaboration between team members.
- Ensure that all team members and other relevant stakeholder have access to training and coaching to enable successful adoption of the framework.
- An Agile coach is required on the ground to assist teams with implementing the framework as well as provide guidance on how to adapt the framework without introducing anti-patterns.
- Plan and communicate a rollout strategy for the framework, roles and responsibilities, and potential training.
- Requirements are available to create the relevant backlogs.
Risks
- Necessary buy-in not obtained for the framework which could lead to push back from stakeholders during implementation.
- Without support and direction there is a risk that teams may implement the framework incorrectly and introduce anti-patterns.
